So I went in for a job interview at a movie theatre today and it was going extremely well. The manager told me that I was perky and friendly and perfect for the job….but that I had to change the color of my hair (which is a bright red color). Apparently the theatre promotes an “All-American” look and so the employees must sport only natural hair colors. Um, doesn’t America have a little something in the constitution called the freedom of expression? I thought that by my exercising this freedom, I was sporting an “All-American” look. I get that maybe the corporate officials want to maintain a certain image, but then I looked around the theatre and saw a female employee with BRIGHT bleached blonde hair and about 2 inches of dark brown roots showing. How natural is that exactly?
